AÄÅ is a collaborative design collective I belong to. We are three designers from different fields – graphic, food, and community design. The name symbolizes each member’s islands. Three different letters A, Ä and Å are mainly used in Nordic countries where our exploration takes place. By balancing geometrical shapes and rhythmical elements, the identity represents both the joy of life and the impression of nature. 

As our very first collaborative project, we participated in Restaurant Day, a food carnival where anyone can create their own restaurant for a day wherever you want. To celebrate the begininng of our journey, Korean festival food, savory pancakes were served in three different flavors. Besides food prepration, we visually installed brand identity from the tent installation, business card to kimchi labels to complete multi-sensory experience.
